A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in our WMA Autumn 2026 Interclub.

Interclubs are a brilliant opportunity for students to test their skills, gain competition experience, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy putting their training into practice in a supportive environment.

We had some fantastic performances across patterns, sparring, special technique and power, with plenty of close contests and some excellent displays of determination, sportsmanship and technical ability.

While medals and placings are always exciting, the biggest achievement is stepping onto the floor and having a go. For some students, this was another opportunity to develop their competition experience; for others, it was a chance to try something new and challenge themselves.

We were really pleased to see students supporting one another throughout the event and showing the attitude and spirit we want to encourage at WMA.

A big thank you to our umpires

Events like this simply could not run without people giving up their time to officiate, organise and support our competitors.

A huge thank you to our umpiring team:

Lisa, Adam, Ben, Seb, Abbey, Rois, Zaria and Deb.

Thank you for giving your time, helping the event run smoothly and giving our students the opportunity to compete in a fair and supportive environment.

And finally, thank you to all of the parents, families and supporters who came along and encouraged everyone throughout the competition.

Well done to every single competitor — whether you came away with a medal or not, you should be proud of getting onto the floor, challenging yourself and representing WMA.

We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🥋🏆
