Patterns

Patterns Competition Rules:

1. Pattern videos must be submitted via www.wetransfer.com to the schools email address - worcestershiremartialarts@gmail.com

2. Patterns will be judged on: correct technique, power, stances, balance and correctness of pattern

3. Students must wear full WMA Dobok

4. Video must start and finish in Junbi Ready position, on the spot you started on and you must announce your name, age and the name of your pattern before starting whilst in attention stance with the right hand raised.

Grade pattern or previous if uncertain of grade pattern. We will be scoring the pattern out of ten, if we have a draw for any of the medal places we will ask you to record a designated pattern of our choosing.

Categories will further be split by age (Juniors under 18 and adults 18+) once entries are all in.

Prize will be awarded for the best pattern backdrop i.e. nice scenery behind you!

Best Slow Motion Side Kick

Best Side Kick Competition Rules:

1. Side kick entry videos must be submitted via www.wetransfer.com to the schools email address - worcestershiremartialarts@gmail.com

2. Kick will be judged on: correct technique, strength and balance 

3. Students must wear full WMA Dobok or WMA Kickboxing Uniform

Best Kicking Combination

Best Kicking Combination Competition Rules:

1. Kicking combination entry videos must be submitted via www.wetransfer.com to the schools email address - worcestershiremartialarts@gmail.com

2. Combination will be judged on: correct technique, strength. power, flow and balance 

3. Students must wear full WMA Dobok or WMA Kickboxing Uniform

4. Kicking Combination must consist of between 6 and 10 kicks, the combination can consist of any type of kick and in any order. Get creative and make it flashy!

Patterns:

• Tiny Kwon-Do/under 10's  

• White belt to Yellow belt - Juniors & 18+

• Green stripe to Blue Stripe - Juniors & 18+

• Blue Belt to Black stripe - Juniors & 18+

• Black Belts - all ages & grades

Slow Motion Side Kick:

• Tiny Kwon-Do/under 10's

• White belt to Green belt Juniors 11-17yrs

• White belt to Green belt 18+

• Blue Stripe to Black Stripe Juniors 11-17yrs

• Blue Stripe to Black Stripe 18+

• Black Belt - all ages & grades

Kicking Combination:

• Tiny Kwon-Do/under 10's

• White belt to Green belt Juniors 11-17yrs

• White belt to Green belt 18+
