Enrol: Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Martial Arts

The course covers:

✔ Unit 1: Developing your role as a coach

✔ Unit 2: Developing your coaching practice

✔ Unit 3: Understanding the individuals you coach

✔ Unit 4: Managing relationships

✔ Unit 5: Developing the coaching environment

✔ Unit 6: Protecting self and others

✔ Unit 7: Plan progressive coaching sessions

✔ Unit 8: Deliver progressive coaching sessions

✔ Unit 9:  Review progressive coaching sessions

This course involves registering for the 1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Sport & Physical Activity) qualification, with an emphasis on delivering Martial Arts.

Learners will be required to:

• Phase 1: Complete eLearning modules & tasks via Google Classroom. This will also involve planning 4 linked and progressive martial arts sessions to be delivered in their own environment and 2 separate sessions delivered to different student demographics.

• Phase 2: Deliver 6 x 30-60 minute physical activity/martial art sessions.

Registration to the qualification is valid for a 2 year period. Therefore, learners could complete Phase 1 initially and then progress onto Phase 2 when appropriate. Re-assessment fees would be applicable if learners were deemed not yet competent in phase 2. The cost for this pathway is £180.

This qualification will be delivered using a remote blended learning model, you will learn the course material via electronic and online media (eLearning modules and assignments via Google Classroom). One-to-one tutorials will be set up via Zoom to monitor progress. You will need a laptop or tablet with an updated browser such as Google Chrome to access eLearning, it is not mobile-compatible.

There will be six 20-minute assessments of coaching practice which can be arranged at either your own club (if local to Worcestershire) or will be conducted in a simulated environment during two assessment days at our Worcester Venue.

One-to-one coaching will be available if needed, and all assessment and portfolio work will be marked and personal feedback will be given to each delegate.

All work will be completed in a handwritten portfolio which is submitted for assessment and verification once all the units are complete, The quicker you submit the tasks the sooner the qualification can be assessed and certification signed off.
