What is Boxercise?
Boxercise is a pad work based exercise class based on the training concepts boxers and kickboxers use to keep fit. No class involves the physical hitting of an opponent. It is a fun, challenging and safe workout. Strike pads are provided & 10oz boxing gloves are recommended which can be purchased at our venue or in sports shops.
What are our lessons like?
Our Boxercise lessons are suitable for complete beginners both to exercise and boxing, our energetic and intense workouts keep you on your toes and burning calories. The classes feature a mix of cardio, strength and balance training in a fun and positive environment!
The lessons are based around punching and some kicking techniques, these techniques include the simple punching such as Jab, Cross, Hook and Uppercut, simple kicking techniques such as side kick, front kick and turning kick. Once past the beginner levels, foot work and movement is involved in the lessons. The lessons contain zero physical contact, but if you wish to progress further into a contact martial art, we have options for that type of progression!
Lessons only open to those aged 14 years +
Lessons conducted by a female Boxercise trained instructor, who has over 23 years experience in martial arts and holds numerous national and world martial arts medals.
